The National Monuments Service's description
A small circular feature (diam. c. 15m) is marked on the 1839 ed. of the OS 6-inch map in Clongaddy, which incorporates the townland boundary with Ballygrangans in its perimeter E-S-NW. This is a sunken rectangular area (dims. 17m N-S; 14m E-W; D c. 1m), which is probably a pond or a quarry.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
