The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on a level, low-lying landscape with the seashore c. 800m to the SE. It is marked on the 1839 and 1925 eds of the OS 6-inch map where it is described as a windmill. This is a cylindrical tower (ext. diam. 5.15m; int. diam. 3.4m) of three storeys with opposing doorways at E and W. It survives to the roofline with a height of c. 6m. There is a curved recess internally on the N side at the ground floor, and projecting steps inside the W doorway lead up the wall at S to the first floor which had joists set directly into the wall (H 2.3m over the ground). This floor (H 1.6m) has a light at N while a destroyed area at E could be another. The stairs continue to the second floor (H 2m), which has windows at E, S and NW, and its floor was set on a rebate. There are some millstones of a conglomerate stone on the ground. The remains of a building (ext. dims 13.85m NW-SE; 4.7m NE-SW) c. 30m to the NW surviving partially as low walls (H c. 1.4m) may be a related storehouse.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
