The National Monuments Service's description

Visible as an overgrown rectangular area on vertical aerial photographs (GSIAP: S 185? T 67), and situated on a level landscape. This is a rectangular area overgrown with mixed woodland (dims 37m N-S; 35m E-W) defined by earthen banks (Wth 2-3m; int. H 0.5 1m; ext. H 1.2-2.8m) with flat-bottomed outer fosses or moats (Wth of base 2-3m; ext. D 1.2-1.6m) on all sides except the W where a N-S stream is flowing, and there is water in the moat at N.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
