The National Monuments Service's description

Marked as a circular embanked enclosure (ext. diam. c. 40m) on the 1839 ed. of the OS 6-inch map and it is situated on top of sea-cliffs (H c. 20m) on the E side of the Barrow/Nore/Suir estuary. It is overlooked by higher ground to the E and S. This is a circular scrub-covered area (diam. 23m NW-SE) defined by the sea cliff WSW-W-NE and a fosse (at N: Wth of top 4m; int. D 2m; ext. D 1.2m; at SSE: Wth of top 7m; int. D 0.2m; ext. D 0.4m) with an outer field bank elsewhere. There is no visible bank or entrance. Archaeological testing (09E0394) c. 200m to the S produced no related material (Ó Drisceoil 2012a).

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
