The National Monuments Service's description
A well is marked on the 1839 and 1940 eds of the OS 6-inch and described in gothic lettering on both as St. Bridget’s Well. According to John O’Donovan writing c. 1840 there was no memory of a pattern (O’Flanagan 1933, vol. 1, 275). It is situated on a level, low-lying landscape with a small S-N stream c. 15m to the W. There is no visible remains at ground level in a cereal crop. The site of S. Bridget's church (WX048-008----) is c. 120m to the SSE.
