The National Monuments Service's description

William Rossiter of Bargy castle (WX047-047----) is described as from Bridge Bargy in the Civil Survey (1654-6) and a bridge is listed in the index (Simington 1953, 128, 163). The present bridge has a single-arch (Wth 1.54m; H 1.9m), but the stonework appears to be post-medieval in date and it cannot be confrimed that the earlier bridge is on this site.
