The National Monuments Service's description

Ballycogly castle (WX047-019001-) is depicted as a tower with an attached two storey house on the parish map of Mayglass parish of the Down Survey (1656-8), but while there are farm sheds attached to the N and E of the tower house there is no indication that these are early, as is suggested by Hore (1925, 33). For the Down Survey parish map see this webpage accessed on 11 Sep. 2013. http://downsurvey.tcd.ie/down-survey-maps.php#bm=Forth&c=Wexford&p=Maglass
