The National Monuments Service's description

Located on a slight E-facing slope. The faint cropmark of a circular enclosure (diam. c. 40m) defined by a single fosse feature that is slightly truncated by a NE-SW farm lane at S is visible on aerial photographs (MM (27) 34-5). A magnetic gradiometer survey (22R0066) by G. Dowling (2022) confirms the existence of the rath fosse (Wth c. 3m), although the feature is largely absent E-S. A narrow inner trench follows the line of the fosse SW-NW c. 5m inside its inner edge. A ditch extends NE from the fosse (L c. 40m) connecting with NW-SE ditches and could be part of a field system that is contemporary with the rath. Another ditch extending N from the fosse at NW might also run over the area of the bank at W be part of a later field system. Other N-S ditches were recorded further W c. 30-45m apart and could be part of the same system.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
