The National Monuments Service's description

Located on a slight SE-facing slope. This is a slightly raised circular area (diam. 26m; H 0.4m). It is known locally as a rath in a field called ‘the Rath field’, and it is said to be detectable as differential growth when the field is planted with cereals. It is visible as a vegetation mark of the OSI series of aerial photographs (2000).

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.#
