The National Monuments Service's description
Located in the valley of a small N-S stream, which is c. 8m to the W. This oval granite stone (dims 1.3m x 0.4-0.55m) is embedded in the ground and has a single basin (diam. 0.42m; D 0.16m) at its wider end. The tower of the fortified parish church of Kilmannan (WX042-021001-) is c. 60m to the NNE, on the other side of an ENE-WSW public road. The site of St Mannan's Well (WX042-022----) is c. 280m to the SSE.
