The National Monuments Service's description

Situated in a the valley of a small E-W stream that flows through the N moat (Wth 2.4m; D 2.2m). This is a rectangular scrub-covered area (dims 26m E-W; 23.5 N-S) defined by a slight bank (int. H c. 0.3m) on each side and an outer flat bottomed moats (Wth of top 6.5-8.5m; Wth of base 2.4-5.2m; int. D 0.6-1.4m; ext. D 1.4-2.1m). There is no visible entrance or causeway, but the N part of the interior is slightly higher than the S.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
