The National Monuments Service's description

Located at the bottom of the N-facing slope of NE-SW ridge of Forth Mountain. It is described by Barry (1977, 218, WX 43) as a raised platform with a wet moat (Wth 3.5m; D 1.5m). It has been removed since 1977, and is not visible at ground level in a scrub-covered area.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
