The National Monuments Service's description
Situated just off the crest of a N-S ridge, on the E-facing slope. This is a circular grass-covered area (diam. 49.5m NE-SW; 44.5m E-W) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 4-5m; int. H 0.7-1m; ext. H 0.8m at SW to 2m at NE) with some bushes, an external fosse (Wth of top 4.2-6.5m; ext. D 0.6m at W to 1.2m at E) and an outer bank (Wth 2-3m; ext. H c. 0.5m) NNE-S-WNW, which has been removed elsewhere. The entrance through the inner (Wth 1.7m) and outer (Wth 2m) banks is at ENE.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
