The National Monuments Service's description

Marked as a bivallate embanked enclosure (ext. diam. c. 65-70m) circumscribed by farm lanes NE-S-W on the 1839 edition of the OS 6-inch map, and situated on a slight S-facing slope. This is a raised circular, scrub-covered area (diam. 43m E-W) defined by an eroded earthen bank (at N: Wth 4.5m; int. H 0.5m; ext. H 1.4m) and external fosse (at N: Wth of top 4m; D 0.3m) NW-NE that is altered (Wth 2.5m at E to 6.5m at W; int. H 0.7-0.8m; ext. H 1.2-1.4m) by a retaining wall and by a surrounding road NE-S-NW. There is no visible entrance. The remaining fosse NW-NE was removed between 2005 and 2012 (OSI images).

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
