The National Monuments Service's description
Marked as a tripple-banked enclosure (ext. diam. c. 60m) on the 1839 ed. of the OS 6-inch map and as a D-shaped enclosure on the 1925 ed. It is situated on a gentle SW-facing slope. This is a raised D-shaped area (diam. c. 40m NE-SW) planted in coniferous trees and truncated by NW-SE field bank at NE. It is defined by slight traces of an earthen bank SE-W and elsewhere by a scarp (H 0.6-1.6m). There is no visible fosse or entrance.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
