The National Monuments Service's description

Marked as a subcircular embanked enclosure (ext. dims c. 55m NW-SE; c. 50m NE-SW) on the 1839 ed. of the ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and clearly visible as a circular enclosure (diam. c. 35m) on vertical aerial photographs (GSIAP: S 527-8). It is situated on top of a broad hill, but it has been removed since 1973. No feature is visible at ground level in a cereal crop, but the site is visible as a cropmark enclosure defined by a single fosse feature and with an internal linear pit (NE-SW) on aerial photographs (MM (54) 6-8). The internal pit could be the location of souterrain (WX035 074---).

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
