The National Monuments Service's description

Marked faintly as a rectangular enclosure (dims. c. 40m N-S; c. 40m E-W) on the 1839 ed. of the OS 6-inch map and located towards the bottom of the E-facing slope of a low NE-SW ridge with a SW-NE stream c. 250m to the SE. This is a rectangular area grass-covered area (dims. 33m ESE-WNW; 26m NNE-SSW) defined by a slight dip of the moats and a vegetation change (Wth 3-6m). It is visible on the OSI series of aerial photographs (2000). (Barry 1977, 217, WX29)

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
