The National Monuments Service's description

Situated towards the bottom of a gentle SE-facing slope. It is not recorded on any map but is described locally as having had flat bottomed moats (Wth c. 5m; D c. 1.5m) before its removal. It is visible in 1988 as a rectangular grass-covered area (dims. 29m ENE-WSW; 28m NNW-SSE) defined by the slight depression of moats (Wth 4.5 5m; D 0.2m), with a leat from the SW corner. It is also visible on a series of Bing aerial photographs (2012).

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
