Marked as a circular bivallate enclsoure (ext. diam. c. 65-70m) on the 1839 ed. of the OS 6-inch map and situated on a slight NW-SE spur in a low-lying landscape with a NW-SE stream c. 60m to the NE. This is a rectangular area (dims. 33m E-W; 28m N-S) planted in coniferous trees and defined by earthen banks (Wth 5.1-6.2m; int. H 1-1.4m; ext H 1.7-2.2m) with external flat bottomed moats (Wth of top 7-9m; Wth of base 2.5-2.7m; ext. D 1.8-2.4m) and counterscarp banks (Wth c. 7m; ext. H 1m) on all sides except the W where the moat (Wth of top 5m; ext. D 0.4m) is much smaller. There is an entrance causeway (Wth 2m; H O.6m) at the W end of the N side and a leat from the SE corner flows off to the SE. Fulacht fia (WX030-049002-) is c. 17m NE of the NE angle.
