The National Monuments Service's description

This is an earthen mound (diam. of base 12.7m E-W; 11m N-S; H 1.5 2.5m) with a fosse (Wth of top 5.4-6m; Wth of base 1.5-3m; D 0.2-0.5m normally to 1.4m at S (up hill)). There is a causeway or spoil (Wth 1.5m) in the fosse at SW. Rath (WX029-017----) is c. 150m to the NE.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
