The National Monuments Service's description
Situated towards the bottom of a N-facing slope and at the head of a SE-NW valley. It is also c. 400m NW of a col between Lacken Hill c. 700m to the SW of the col and another hill c. 700m N of the col. This is a raised circular area planted with deciduous trees (diam. 36m N-S; 35m E-W) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 6.2-8m; int. H 0.6 1.4m; ext. H 2.2-3m) with an external fosse (Wth of top 3m at E to 5-6.8m normally; D 0.7m generally to 1.6m at S). There is an entrance (Wth 10m) but no causeway at SSW (max. ext. dims. 48m N-S: 44m E-W). Holy well (WX029-018----) is c. 150m to the E and barrow (WX029-034----) is c. 150m to the SW.
