From Bradley, J. (1988, 90) Creamy oolitic limestone. Good condition. Split into two parts but repaired. In south transept. Partly buried. Smooth interior. Exterior diagonally tooled. Penannular head, off centre, with pillow rising 8 cm above floor. Angled shoulders. Two soakage holes. Fragments of plaster attached to head end. L 2.1m; Wth at head 70cm tapering to 41cm at foot. Max exposed H 26cm.
The dimensions are similar to those of the unnamed tomb of a layman dating to c. 1300, also of oolitic limestone (WX029-013051-), now placed against the wall above the coffin, and this may have been its lid as Hunt (1974, vol. 1, 240) and Waterman (1970, 68) have suggested.
