The National Monuments Service's description

Marked as a subrectangular feature (ext. dims. c. 50m E-W; c. 45m N-S) only on the 1940 ed. of the OS 6-inch map. It is located in a fold at the E edge of a plateau with a small S-N stream c. 300m to the E. This is a rectangular overgrown area (dims. 31m E-W; 19m N-S) with an original rectangular projection (dims. 20m E-W; 7m N-S) at the W end of N side. The perimeter is defined by a flat bottomed moat (Wth 6-9m; D 1.5-2m). There is an inner bank (at W: Wth 4.6m; int. H 0.5m) on the W and N side.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
