The National Monuments Service's description
Marked as a trivallate enclosure (ext. diam. c. 100-105m) on the 1839 ed. of the OS 6-inch map and located on a S-facing slope. It is described in the 1940s as a circular area (diam. c. 35m) with the remains of three banks at E and S and traces of a fosse between the inner and central bank (SMR file). It has been removed since and nothing is visible at ground level in pasture apart from a curved boundary of a coniferous plantation (C c. 50m) NE-SE that is just outside it.
The abpve description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
