The National Monuments Service's description
Located on a fairly level plateau. It is described in 1987 as a subcircular grass and scrub-covered area (dims. 39m E-W; 35.5m N-S) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 4.5-5.5m; int. H 0.5-1m; ext. H 1.3-1.8m), with an outer fosse (Wth of top 4-5m; D 1.4-1.5m) SW-N-E and an external bank or field bank (Wth 4m; ext. H 0.8-1m) SW-N. The entrance (Wth 2m) and causeway (Wth 4m) are at NE. It was removed in 1992.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
