The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on the NW bank of a SE-NW stream, c. 20m from a ford and on the SE side of a lane that crosses the ford from Ballymoty More. An upright stone (dims. 0.5m x 0.15m; H 0.8m) has crudely-incised images on the side facing the road. The top half of the stone has the letters 'IRB' and images of a high cross, a harp, a foot, a round tower, and a shamrock over the date 1874 in Roman numerals (MDCCCLXXIV). Beneath the date the motto 'Let Erin remember' is incised.
