The National Monuments Service's description
Described as 'Site of Church' on the 1839 ed. of the OS 6-inch map where it is depicted as a rectangular structure ( dims. c. 25m NE-SW; c. 10m NW-SE). It is situated just off the crest of the NE-facing slope at the N end of a NW-SE ridge. There is no visible remains of a monument at ground level in pasture. The motte (WX020-041----) is c. 35m to the SW.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
