The National Monuments Service's description

Marked only on the 1940 ed. of the OS 6-inch map as a circular hachured feature (ext. diam. c. 25m) and located in the valley of an E-W stream which is just to the N. It was recorded in 1939 as a subcircular area (dims c. 27m E-W; c. 25m N-S) defined by a scarp (H 0.6m at N to 1-1.5m generally), which was truncated slightly (L c. 6m) by a N-S field bank at W (OSFM). In 1987 it is described locally as a mound, but nothing is visible in scrub at ground level.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
