The National Monuments Service's description
Marked as a D-shaped enclosure (dims. c. 70m E-W; c. 55m N-S) slightly truncated by an E-W road at S on the 1839 ed. of the OS 6-inch map. It is situated on a gentle NE-facing slope in a col between Ballyhighland Hill c. 800m to the SE and a lower rise c. 1 km to the NW. Nothing is visible at ground level but it is visible as a faint oval cropmark enclosure (dims. c. 60m NW-SE; c. 40m NE-SW) around a water resevoir on aerial photographs (MM (17) 26-7; (55) 12, 13). Archaeological testing (08E0431) on the other side of the road faileld to produce any related material (McLoughlin 2011)
