The National Monuments Service's description

Situated just off the top of a S-facing slope and just down from a col beteen slightly higher ground to the E and W. This is a D-shaped area (dims. 35m NW-SE; 26m NE-SW) planted with coniferous trees with the straight side at SE. It is defined by an earthen bank (Wth 4-6m; int. H 0.3m; ext. H 1.2m), with an external fosse (Wth of top 4.5-5m; D 0.2m) NW-S. The entrance (Wth 2.7m) is at S.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
