The National Monuments Service's description
Located on the E side of a slight col with slightly higher ground c. 200m to the SE and c. 400m to the W. This is a subcircular, almost triangular, grass and scrub-covered area (dims. 44m WNW-ESE; 36m NNE-SSW) defined by an almost straight field bank N-E-S, and an earthen bank (Wth 3.5m; int. H 0.5m; ext. H 2m) and external fosse (Wth of top 4m; ext. D 1m) S-W, where it meets at a sharp angle a scarp (H 1.3m) running from W-N. There are entrance gaps at SSW, WNW and N which appear to be modern.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
