The National Monuments Service's description
Marked as a rectangular feature (dims. c. 32m E-W; c. 32m N-S) on the 1839 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and located on a gentle NE-facing slope with a NW-SE stream c. 80m to the NE. This is a square (dims. 37m NE-SW; 37m NW-SE) area now planted with coniferous trees. It is defined by a slightly curved field bank (Wth 2.5m; H 0.5m) at NE, and a straight field bank (Wth c. 2m; int. H 1m; ext. H 1.8m) with a field drain (Wth 2–6m) outside it at SE. It is regarded locally as a raheen, but there is no defining feature on the SE and SW sides.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
