The National Monuments Service's description

It is not recorded on any map but is visible as a ploughed out rectangular feature on vertical aerial photographs (GSIAP: T 151/0) and on OSI ap series (2000). It is situated at the bottom of the N-facing slope of an ENE-WSW ridge. It is described locally as a rectangular area defined by an earthen bank and outer fosse or moat (Wth c. 2m; D c. 2m) with a S-N stream running through the centre of it. It was reclaimed in the 1960s but is traceable on the ground as a slight vegetation change in pasture (int. dims c. 47m N-S; c. 43m E-W).

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
