The National Monuments Service's description
Situated at the bottom of a gentle SE-facing slope with the NE-SW River Bann c. 150m to the SE. The cropmark of large oval enclosure (dims. c. 100m NE–SW; c. 60m NW–SE) defined by a slight fosse or dtich feature is visible on the oblique aerial photograph (CUCAP, BGF 30). It may be the remains of a small enclosed wood. It is also visible with two fosses on images taken with a drone-mounted camera by Dinny Kinsella and Barry Lacy in near drought conditions during July 2018.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
