Situated in a low-lying landscape. This is the site of the parish church of Liskinfere. According to a Visitation by Thomas Ram, the Protestant bishop of Ferns, in 1615 John Lacy was the priest, and the church and chancel were in repair (Hore 1900-11, vol. 6, 273). John O'Donovan writing c. 1840 (O'Flanagan 1933, vol. 1, 14) records that the site of the old church of Clogh is occupied by the present Church of Ireland church, which was built in 1831 (Lewis (1837, vol. 2, 258). This church is within a subcircular graveyard (diam. c. 30-40m). The subrectangular graveyard (dims. c. 60m E-W; c. 40m N-S) extending off to the W may be an extension of an original graveyard around the church, although the rectangular graveyard is marked on the 1839 ed. of the OS 6-inch map. There are no visible remains of an older church structure.
