The National Monuments Service's description

Marked as a circular enclosure with trees (diam. c. 50m) on the 1839 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and as a hachured feature (ext. diam. c. 50m) on the 1940 ed. It was recorded in 1940 as a circular area (diam. c. 33.5m N-S; c. 31m E-W) defined by an earthen bank (Wth c. 3.5-c. 4.5m; H c. 1-1.5m) with no fosse (OSFM). It is situated on a slight W-facing slope, but is not visible at ground level in 1987. An area of black soil is said locally to be visible when the area is ploughed.
