Standing stone

The National Monuments Service's description

Marked as a standing stone only on the 1940 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and situated in a fold on a SE-facing slope of Slievebaun Hill, with a WNW-ESE stream c. 50m to the NE. It was recorded in 1940 as a stone with a triangular cross-section (dims c. 0.9m x 0.1m at NE to 0.8m; H c. 1.05m) roughly aligned NE-SW (OSFM). It was not visible at ground level in 1987, but a displaced stone (dims 0.2-0.3m; L 1m) nearby may the stone. Fulacht fia (WX006-079----) is c. 30m to the E and the possible fulacht fia (WX005-032----) is c. 100m to the NW.
