The National Monuments Service's description
Located in a coniferous forest on a S-facing slope of Carrig Hill and c. 120m N of an E-W stream. Subcircular area (diam. 47.2m E-W; 40m N-S) defined by earthen bank with possible stone cladding (Wth 2.7-3.9m; int. H 0.5-0.9m; ext. H 1m) with an external fosse (Wth of top 3.2m; D 0.3-0.6m) and outer bank (Wth 2m; ext. H 0.2-0.4m) (max. ext. diam. 55m E-W; 47.5m N-S). There is no visible entrance. Souterrain (WX001-008----) is located c. 50m to the N.
