The National Monuments Service's description

A quite dense arrangement of light brushwood, twigs and a roundwood (L 1.5m min.; Wth 1.88m; D 0.05m). The pieces are mostly aligned in a NE-SW direction. The twigs occur as beds between the brushwood. Numerous pieces show evidence for woodworking in the form of chisel points. The wood is in good condition and sits in poorly humified Sphagnum peat.
