The National Monuments Service's description
The site (L 1.7m min.; Wth 1.9m; D 0.25m) is orientated N-S and consists of a sparse arrangement of predominantly heavy brushwood, a roundwood and occasional twigs. The pieces are laid longitudinally, up to two elements deep. A single peg set at c. 70° lies on the SE edge of the site. Next to this, a leather shoe fragment (92E148:87) was recovered within which some mineral material was noted. A number of pieces are worked to a chisel point. The wood is in moderate condition but has been disturbed by milling. The site sits in poorly humified Sphagnum peat containing Eriophorum and fibrous roots.
