The National Monuments Service's description
The site (Wth 1.8m; D 0.3m) is orientated E-W and consists of a dense, compact deposit of light brushwood, twigs and one roundwood. The majority of the brushwood is longitudinally laid with the twigs occurring both in small beds and scattered throughout the deposit. The site slopes downwards to the NE where a number of irregularly laid, outlying pieces of brushwood are present. Amongst the wood species identified are alder, birch, ash and willow. The wood is in moderate condition and lies in well-humified Sphagnum peat. SMR WM034-026---- is 0.15m above the NE extent of this site.
