The National Monuments Service's description
The site (L 18.05m min.; Wth 1.9m; D 0.1m) is orientated ENE-WSW and consists of brushwood (diam. 0.01-0.05m) and roundwoods (diam. 0.06-0.09m). The elements are closely laid and run both longitudinally and transversely. Occasional twigs and irregularly laid brushwood are interspersed amongst this material. The wood is in poor condition. A number of metal-cut toolmarks are present. Amongst the wood species identified are birch and alder. This site lies in well-humified Sphagnum peat with a high amount of ericaceous wood fragments. SMR WM034-016---- lies 2.7m N of this site.
