Good level pasture with good views in all directions. Rattin Castle (WM034-008----) located 800m to E. No surface remains visible of any archaeological monument in area marked on 6-inch OS map. Not indicated on any edition of the OS 6-inch maps. Possible archaeological earthwork marked in this location on William Larkin's 1808 map of County Westmeath.
