The National Monuments Service's description
Described in 1978 as a graveyard situated on the E end of a ridge, with extensive views in all directions. Balrath Castle (WM032-103001-) located 320m to the E. The graveyard consists of a sub-rectangular shaped area (dims. c. 43m N-S; 25m E-W) enclosed by a post-1700 stone wall with gateway in the SE corner. The interior of the graveyard slopes slightly from N to S. At the N end of the graveyard just inside the boundary wall are the low wall footings of a rectangular structure aligned E-W which possibly represents the remains of a church (WM032-102001-). Only the wall footings of the N and S walls are visible, with no visible trace of the E or W walls of this structure. These two walls are depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map but not as a building, possibly depicting a private burial enclosure area. No church indicated inside this graveyard on any edition of the OS six-inch maps. The graveyard does not appear to have been used very much as there are only 7 headstones still visible. These headstones date from the 19th and 20th centuries. This graveyard or burial ground may be post 1700 in date.
