The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on a broad natural rise, in pasture, overlooked by higher ground from to SW and NW. Annotated 'Fort' on the 1837 ed. OS Fair Plan map and depicted as a subrectangular-shaped enclosure. Shown on the revised 1910 ed. OS 25-inch map as three-sides of a rectangular-shaped area which is open to W, adjacent to E side of a farmyard. Monument described in 1982 as no surface remains visible. According to local information, this land was reclaimed around 20 years ago and many of the field fences removed. The laneway to E is no longer in use and is blocked up. Levelled monument is not visible today on Digital Globe aerial photography.
