The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on a slightly elevated area overlooking low-lying wet pasture to S, N and E. Depicted on the 1837 OS 6-inch map as a D-shaped enclosure. Shown on the revised 1910 ed. OS 25-inch map as a roughly oval-shaped field (0.471 acres). Monument described in 1973 as a roughly circular-shaped platform (diam. 40m) defined by a slight scarp to W, N and E. The platform is level with the ground to S. The surrounding field boundaries have been removed. Monument is partially obscured today by scrub which is visible on Digital Globe aerial photography.
