The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on a natural rise, in pasture. Depicted on the revised 1910 ed. OS 25-inch map as a oval-shaped earthwork. A ringfort (WM030-056----) lies c. 130m to SE. Monument described in 1973 as a roughly circular-shaped area (diam. 51m) enclosed by an inner bank, an intervening fosse and an outer bank. The bank is visible from NW-N-E-SE and is partially disturbed from SE-S-W-NW where it is adjoined by a field boundary. There are the remains of a shallow fosse and a slight outer bank from NW-N-E-SE. The interior rises gently from the perimeter toward the centre. Some stones project from the surface and a large boulder lies near the bank at E. There are three breaks in the bank at E, but it is not possible to distinguish an original entrance. Monument is visible today a roughly oval-shaped tree-lined earthwork on Digital Globe aerial photography.
