The National Monuments Service's description

A grove of trees depicted on the OSi 6-inch maps was identified by the SMR as the possible location of a medieval church depicted in this general area on the Down Survey parish map of Ballyloughloe, barony of Clonlonan. The terrier of the Down Survey parish map recorded that; 'in Glyn and Tullchanshallsion ye walls of two churches' (NLI, MS 723-4). On the Down Survey map the church ruins are showing standing in the S quadrant of the townland close to the parish and townland boundary. Possible site of church inspected by Vincent Hurley in 1983 and described as; 'There is no trace of an upstanding building, nor any indication of the site of a church or graveyard in this area. It is an area of good pasture land. The land slopes gently to S' (SMR File).
