The National Monuments Service's description
A cluster of rock platforms were identified by Karkov & Ruffing (1990-1, 108-110), on the E shoreline of Rochfort Bay on Lough Ennell. The site would originally have been located c. 10m from original shoreline. Listed as Rochfort Demesne 2 and described by O'Sullivan (2004, 96) as 'This is a small, irregular rock platform (dims. 22m N-S x 18m E-W) located immediately south of another rock platform (WM026-1150----); possibly a small natural bedrock outcrop that has been enhanced or enlarged. It has an even profile, with large slabs exposed along the water edge. There are large angular limestone blocks lying on the surface. The nearest archaeological site is the crannóg at Goose Island (WM026-109----), 220m to west, a mound at Rochfort Demesne (WM026-048----), 350m to southeast.'
