The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on a slight rise, in gently undulating pasture, with good views to E. Ringfort (WM026-016----) c. 12m to ENE. Monument described in 1971 as a long D-shaped area (dims. 40.2m N-S; 32.3m E-W) enclosed by an inner bank, an intervening fosse and an outer bank with the straight side to SSE. The inner bank is steep and is almost reduced to a scarp. A slight fosse exists from SSE-S-W-NE. The slight outer bank is visible only from NW-N-NE. A modern field bank has been constructed on the exterior of the inner bank from NE-E-SE, where the base of the bank and the fosse have been disturbed. A causeway (Wth at top 2m; overall Wth 5.2m; H 0.6m) at N is assumed to represent the entrance. A very slight bank (approx. Wth 1.2m; H 0.3m; L 7m) running N-S extends (L 7m) to S from the W side of the causeway. The interior has vague traces of cultivation ridges and there are two boulders in the SW quadrant which appear to be in their natural positions.
